We took Quita to the beach for the first time since moving down under and, as expected, we had a ball. Only certain beaches in Australia allow dogs so we went to Buddina, which is about a 90 minute drive from our house.
Sev did some sprints with her and she won every time.
Since it's winter time, the beach was almost totally empty!
I thought Quita had enough common sense to not drink salt water - turns out I was wrong. She drank it all day and then was peeing all night, she even wet her crate for the first time ever on the way home!
We tried to play frisbee with her but as usual we were more interested in the frisbee than Quita was!
She really enjoyed laying in the sand!
More fun with sand!
She got some good exercise, and it wasn't hot at all! We probably won't be able to take her to the beach in the summer time because it will just be too hot.
We laid on our towel and relaxed after running around.
The coolest part of the day was finding koala tracks on the beach! I felt so accomplished being able to identify them! I knew I should have been a zoologist!
We stopped for a drink and snack in Buddina town and got to see the harbor! There are so many charming beach towns in Queensland, we must do more exploring!
