Our first stop was Sunshine beach, because we were starving and it was the first beach we found. We ate lunch here but decided to check out the other beaches in the area after lunch.
Then we came to Noosa Main beach, THE beach. It has very clear water, nice sand, and is as calm as a lake in parts of it, but has enough waves to surf in other parts. There is some shade from palm trees at the edge, and it was never very crowded. In other words, heaven.
Can you see the tiny sand crab at the edge of my towel? It's exactly the same color as the sand and woke me up by crawling around on my towel while I was napping in the shade!

The cute little wild turkeys were everywhere in Noosa!
We took a sunset cruise on the ferry boat in the bay of the Noosa River head. There are a bunch of human made canals off the river with houses built on them so that everyone has a river front property. The boat captain said the average value of a house here is $6 - 8 million.
This is where the Noosa River used to drain into the ocean. It has been dammed up so that it's now a bay.
We had a spectacular sunset.
And kept riding around in the dark for a while.
There was a breathtaking full moon rising later!
The next day, we went to the home of a co-worker of Sev's for Easter and they had just enough wine to wash away our homesickness on this holiday. The only pictures we got of the day were the full moon from their patio.
